A young boy dreamt he was saving the world, and it felt wonderful; he was sound asleep, enjoying his dream.
Something roused him before anything occurred; a voice of some kind had been by his bedside, and he glanced around from that spot.
He saw nobody and nothing until a voice, again from the outside, reached him. A quick look around revealed a shadow of a person outside.
The shadow seemed to scare him, causing him to run out and alert his parents about a scary sight he witnessed outside the window.
When they saw the child was frightened, they went to look around. There was nobody there, so they assumed it was a nightmare and went back.
They discovered a surprise within: an elderly woman with a wide, unsettling smile. Stunned, they asked who she was and how she got in. She then pulled out a gun and shot both parents, leaving the child.
Filled with fear, the child urinated in his trousers as the woman laughed and then shot him.
