After years away, you’re embarking on a long, all-day road trip back to your parents’ home.

You saw a couple by their vehicle who looked like they were in trouble and asking for a lift.

After stopping the car and asking what occurred, you learned through a short conversation that you shared a destination with them, though their vehicle had experienced a mechanical failure.

Figuring you couldn’t fix the car, you decided to drive them, as they struck you as nice people. The man sat beside you, and the woman in the back, and at one point, you all fell into conversation.

The man offered to drive as night approached and you grew tired. You let him, falling asleep, only to wake later and see a sign that made you realize you were on the wrong path.

You explained to the man, but he remained unconvinced, leading to a bit of heat between you, when abruptly, the woman from behind opened the door, and in an instant, you were thrown from the car, injuring your head and succumbing in the wilderness.
