You returned home ahead of schedule to surprise your wife with a dinner reservation at her preferred restaurant. Upon entering, you discovered she wasn’t there and began searching the house for her.
Despite calling her name and using many nicknames, you received no reply. You mused, “She must be out,” and wondered about her whereabouts.
Hearing a scream from the basement while you were having a glass of water in the kitchen caused you to drop the glass and rush towards the sound.
A man, dressed head-to-toe in black and holding a hammer, was visible in the basement. You gazed at him briefly before looking down at the ground and shouting.
Seeing your wife in a pool of blood on the ground, you attack the man. Before you can hit him, he strikes you with a hammer. “Don’t be ridiculous,” a feminine voice declared.
Then, he unmasked himself, and it was your wife, a conundrum. Just as you questioned how this could be, she struck you again with the hammer, aiming for your head.
